We will continue to add items as we progress through our ID and selection camp in August. We will also be announcing our team roster at that time as well as new members of the coaching staff for this coming season.

Introduction

The EDZA West U18 AAA Reds are very pleased to announce our upcoming ID/Selection and training camp for the team’s upcoming 2020-2021 season. We are EDZA West’s only U18 Elite Female Hockey program and are looking forward to an exciting, elite, athlete focused program this season. We have been working diligently with EDZA West and HNB to have our Return to Hockey Operational Plan approved in order to have our training camps in place. As we all know the return to hockey, as a result of COVID-19 precautions, will look very different from the game we left back in March of this year.

ID / Selection Camp

Our ID and selection camps for this season will occur in the month of August. There will be seven (7) on-ice and one (1) off-ice testing sessions on the following dates and times:

Player evaluations will occur during the 28th to 30th of August ice times. Players will be loaned a practice jerseys and number for the selection camps.

Please note that attendance is mandatory for all players at the ID / Selection Camp ice times (28-30 August) to be considered for the team.

Registration

U18 AAA Reds registration is open to all female players born in 2005/2004/2003. In accordance with Hockey New Brunswick Elite Hockey Commission Operations Manual (dated June 2020), female players born in 2006 (2nd year U15) are eligible to try out for U18 AAA Female hockey and are eligible to move into U18 AAA Female without following the Exceptional Player Status process provided they are ranked in the Top 9 forwards/Top 6 defence/Top 2 Goalies during evaluations.

To further facilitate a streamlined registration process this season, we have setup our registration online. Please go to the EDZA West U18 AAA Reds ID and Selection Camp registration form at: https://form.jotform.com/201876899040263 to complete your registration and submit electronically.

Specific details and information will be sent out to all players/parents by email prior to the first session as well as important information related to mandatory COVID-19 safety measures at the specific City of Fredericton arenas. These rules will be strictly enforced and are in place for the safety of everyone.

Cost

The registration cost is $120 per player. This includes all 7 ice sessions and 1 dry-land testing session. Please note that registration fees are non-refundable.
