After a long road for the team this past season, with ups and downs due to COVID-19 amongst other challenges, the team pulled off its first U18 AAA Female Provincial title in its short 4 year history! The team won the title in 4 games after a very hard-fought battle with their NB sister team, the Moncton Subaru Rockets. Both teams played extremely tough throughout the series .

Game 4 was played on Sunday, March 13th, 2022 in Woodstock at the AYR Motor Centre. The final score for the game was 2-1 in favour of the Reds. The team will not take a break and will begin workup for the 2022 U18 AAA Female Atlantics that will be held in Tyne Valley PEI from 21-24 April 2022. Atlantics are the next step towards the journey of heading to the 2022 National ESSO Cup for U18 AAA Female hockey!

Please join us on Saturday, October 2nd, 2021 as our team hosts a “Pink in the Rink” awareness event for breast cancer. Our event will take place at 2:00pm at the Grant-Harvey Centre as the Reds will be in their Pink jerseys as we play the visiting Western Halifax Capitals. We will be having a 50/50 draw where proceeds will go to the Canadian Cancer Society. Please be generous and donate!

The Reds will have a home and away exhibition game series with the Moncton Rockets on the weekend of August 28th and 29th 2021.

Home games starts at 3pm on the 28th. Game will be played at the Grand-Harvey Arena. Our Sunday game will be in Moncton at the Rocket’s home ice (Superior Propane Centre) atarting at 2:15pm.

On behalf of the coaching staff of the EDZA West U18 AAA TNT Building Supplies Reds, we are once again very excited to announce our upcoming Selection and training camp for the team’s upcoming 2021-2022 season. We are Western New Brunswick’s only Hockey New Brunswick (HNB) sanctioned U18 Elite AAA Female Hockey program and are looking forward to an exciting, elite, athlete focused program this season.

Selection Camp

This year’s selection camps will occur in the month of August. There will be nine (9) on-ice and one (1) off-ice testing sessions on the following dates and times:

All players will be provided a practice jerseys and number for the selection camps and is to be returned at the end of the selection camp.

*Please note that attendance is mandatory for all players at the Selection Camp Skills/Inter-squad ice times (18-28 August) to be considered for the team.

Registration

U18 AAA TNT Reds registration is open to all female players born in 2006/2005/2004.

NOTE: In accordance with Hockey New Brunswick (HNB) Elite Hockey Commission Operations Manual (dated June 2020), female players born in 2007 (2nd year U15) may try out for U18 AAA Female hockey and are eligible to move into U18 AAA Female without following the Exceptional Player Status process provided they are evaluated and ranked in the Top 9 forwards/Top 6 defence/Top 2 Goalies during evaluations.

To further facilitate a streamlined registration process this season, we have setup our registration online. Please go to the EDZA West U18 AAA Reds ID and Selection Camp registration (or alternatively, you can go to: https://form.jotform.com/211732645336252 to complete your registration and submit electronically. Registration fees are to be submitted via e-transfer to edzawest.reds@gmail.com (please use the security word HOCKEY).

Deadline to register is Friday, July 30th 2021 by 1200pm.

Specific details and information will be sent out to all players/parents by email one week prior to the first session as well as important information related to any COVID-19 safety measures at the specific City of Fredericton arenas.

Cost

The registration cost is $125 per player. This includes all on-ice sessions and the dry-land testing session. Only those who considered registered are those who submit BOTH their on-line registration and registration fee. Please note that registration fees are non-refundable.
